IMPACTOUR: JOINT WEB CONFERENCE ON THE FUTURE OF CULTURAL TOURISM
Last friday, on 27th November, a joint online meeting took place between the Horizon 2020 projects SmartCulTour, SPOT and IMPACTOUR. The aim of this web conference was to get to know each other and to exchange on the latest and on future developments in cultural tourism.

In fruitful debates – both in the conference room and in breakout working sessions – 50 participants discussed about their thoughts, concerns and visions related to the future of cultural tourism.
Many aspects ranging from sustainability through quality and accessibility aspects to innovation and community involvement were brought up. In the end, the participants agreed on a couple of key findings that need further consideration when thinking about the development of cultural tourism and agreed to intensify the cooperation among the three Horizon 2020 projects for the mutual benefit.
The TRANSROMANICA team was represented by Christin Leser and Annemarie Schmidt who were engaged in different discussion groups and shared experiences from within the TRANSROMANICA and Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe networks.
