Tourism Development of TRANSROMANICA

The “Further Development of the European Cultural Route TRANSROMANICA” was funded by the Ministry of Regional Development and Transport of Saxony-Anhalt (Ministerium für Landesentwicklung und Verkehr des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt ), Germany, and the Investment Bank Saxony-Anhalt (Investitionsbank Sachsen-Anhalt).

“Think globally, act locally, operate regionally.” The program subsidizes concepts to promote the regions in Saxony-Anhalt and their implementation. While project running time the following main goals were achieved and implemented:

1. Revision and new edition of the TRANSROMANICA Travel Magazine

“A fascinating journey through medieval times” was published as a print and online publication in English-language including editing and collecting text and image contributions, redesign, re-editing and printing. Afterwards the provision of the online versions including  Europe-wide distribution of the print products was implemented.

2. Development and marketing of bookable TRANSROMANICA travel offers

This included developing suggested routes, gathering of regional information on destinations, tourist infrastructure and additional offers. Summarizing the information and providing in a revised version of the TRANSROMANICA Sales Manual in English as a print and online publication, including design, printing, provision of the online version and its distribution.

3. TRANSROMANICA Bloggers Trip

Also an implementation of a new version of the TRANSROMANICA Bloggers Trip in Saxony-Anhalt on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the “Romanesque Road” was successfully carried out. The presentation of suggested routes and bookable tours on the TRANSROMANICA website can be found here.

4. Website

The development of a modern, English-language online presence for the TRANSROMANICA cultural route, which corresponds to the current technical standards for display on desktop PCs, laptops and mobile devices including revising and adding to the content of the previous website, design, programming, web hosting, maintenance and editing.
